What is the difference between SIBO glucose and lactulose tests ?
The SIBO Lactulose
breath test is for diabetics only. This SIBO
breath test utilizes “Lactulose” as a substrate to avoid high blood sugar peaks
(but sometimes will experience some diarrhea with this). For nondiabetics, we have the SIBO Glucose test,
which uses “Glucose” as a substrate.
